SUMMARY:FAX & FRIENDS | Fax Machine EP release
LOCATION:Cinetol\, Tolstraat 182\, 1074 VM Amsterdam
GEO:52.352826;4.906568
DESCRIPTION:Fax Machine celebrates the release of their upcoming EP. Perfor
 mances by Fax Machine and other friends TBA. The band about the event: "We
  are Fax Machine. After founding member\, drummer & singer Max van Rossem
 died last year\, we finished our EP. We invite you to celebrate with us. H
 olding this record in our hands\, we look back on the nine years of musica
 l friendship that led up to it. From the very first time in our rehearsal
 space when we wrote Giraffe and Variations - how stoked we were to have wr
 itten our own songs\; how cool we thought the one-word titles were - to ou
 r last studio session with Max when he was still alive. For us\, this reco
 rd feels like a time machine: Spreadsheets of Love (demo\, released online
  late 2024) has a more acoustic\, funky disco sound\, while Algorithms of
 Devotion has a more electronic sound (more drive\, depth\, and darkness\;
 more corporate funk) that we were still developing when Max passed. We hav
 e this vivid image of Max in the studio when we were working on Algorithms
  of Devotion: jumping and dancing around with the vocoder in one hand and
 the microphone in the other\, rocking out with this mischievous look in hi
 s eyes… Unfortunately\, he died before...\n\nDetails and tickets: https:
