SUMMARY:Memory Ball: A hands-on memory workshop
LOCATION:Pakhuis de Zwijger\, Piet Heinkade 179\, 1019 HC Amsterdam
GEO:52.376526;4.922924
DESCRIPTION:Memory Ball is a handcrafted sphere that glows when someone com
es near and lights up each time a new memory is added. Visitors contribute
a memory in text\, image or voice to a shared\, browser based archive: no
app or account needed\, and you can stay anonymous. For this Pakhuis edit
ion\, Memory Ball focuses on the city centre around Pakhuis de Zwijger\, f
rom the IJ waterfront and the old harbour to Centraal Station\, and places
visitors’ memories alongside archival footage\, photos and sound from B
eeld & Geluid (Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision). During the works
hop\, artists Muskan Jain and Mehmet Berk Bostancı invite you to share a
memory\, explore how personal and collective memories connect\, and create
your own memory object to take home. Memory Ball is a collaboration with
Beeld & Geluid and part of Designing Technology For All.\n\nDetails and ti
