DESCRIPTION:Penelope Road are a five-piece band from Atlanta who blend soul
  and funk with 1970s pop. Singers Max Moore and Charles Eastman share lead
  vocals\, with plenty of harmonies and choruses that stick in your head. T
 he bass gives their songs a laid-back groove\, whilst the guitars and keyb
 oards are given free rein. They also bring their love of that older music 
 onto the stage\, where a track by the Eagles or America regularly features
 . The band takes its name from the street where the members lived together
  and wrote their first songs. A video of ‘Out Tonight’\, recorded in t
 he loft of their student flat\, attracted a lot of attention online. For t
 he EP ‘The Diamond Street Sessions’\, the five of them then recorded i
 n the same studio space. This allowed them to continue fine-tuning the son
 gs together there as well. On ‘Chance Encounter’ from 2025\, the harmo
 nies in particular are given more prominence\, with full choruses accompan
