DESCRIPTION:The five misfits from Amsterdam and The Hague are back with the
 ir annual festival\, Klitfest. The Klittens bring a quirky mix of pop\, co
 untry and (post-)punk\, drawing on influences from The Ronettes\, MF Doom\
 , Dry Cleaning and Kate Bush. Their long-awaited debut album ‘Have A Hea
 rt’ is due out in September. On the record\, the band sound both light-h
 earted and ominous: ten separate stories about powerlessness\, resistance 
 and surrender\, wrapped up in sharp guitar riffs and harmonised vocals. As
  a taster for the album\, the band recently released ‘Have A Heart’\, 
 in which The Klittens contrast powerlessness with the need for human compa
 ssion\, without losing the edge of their sound. With Klitfest\, The Klitte
 ns are also taking control of the rest of the evening. The band are puttin
 g together the line-up themselves and bringing together artists who fit in
