 ives in Amsterdam and is best known as the founder and frontman of the psy
 chedelic band Kikagaku Moyo. His music moves freely between folk\, psyched
 elia and ambient\, and has a meditative quality without ever coming to a c
 omplete standstill. Together with Jonny Nash\, Katsurada is crafting a sou
 nd that is playful and spacious\, with a strong focus on texture\, repetit
 ion and subtle shifts in tone. At times soft and tranquil\, at others slig
 htly alienating\, but always in motion. On his recent album ‘At The Emer
 ald Pool’\, made with Jonny Nash\, this approach is given free rein. The
  two musicians allow melodies and sounds to slowly intertwine\, creating a
 n open\, almost weightless sound in which a lot is happening without it ev
