DESCRIPTION:Alewya is an Ethiopian-Egyptian artist\, singer and producer\,
born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Shepherd’s Bush\, West London. Her mu
sic is a blend of everything she picked up along the way: her father’s d
evotional Qur’an recitations\, the Ethiopian sounds of Teddy Afro and Mu
latu Astatke that her mother used to play\, her older brother’s alternat
ive rock records\, and her own fascination with garage\, grime\, R&B and h
ip-hop. Following her debut album ‘Panther in Mode’ (2021)\, appearanc
es at COLORS\, Boiler Room Berlin and Glastonbury\, and a tour with Little
Simz\, Alewya has new music to share. On ‘ZERO’ (2026)\, which she la
rgely produced herself\, she explores what it means to be human\, with all
the contradictions\, adventures and encounters between worlds that come w
 ith it.\n\nDetails en tickets: https://onlyhere.app/nl/amsterdam/whats-on/
