SUMMARY:Chat Pile
LOCATION:Paradiso\, Weteringschans 6-8\, 1017 SG Amsterdam
GEO:52.362278;4.883945
DESCRIPTION:In a world increasingly characterised by disposable content\, C
hat Pile responds with something that feels painfully real: a mindset that
permeates ‘Who Loves The Sun’\, their third full-length album. Since
the band’s formation just over six years ago\, the Oklahoma City-based q
uartet Chat Pile has evolved from a messy passion project into a leading u
nderground heavy act. The band creates a crushing and cathartic take on no
ise rock. Nothing about ‘Who Loves The Sun’ feels artificial. Whilst t
heir debut album ‘God’s Country’ depicted a quintessentially America
n form of anxiety and its follow-up ‘Cool World’ portrayed a cruel pla
net characterised by global systemic violence\, the new album lays bare ho
w collective indifference defines this new century. With images of coastli
nes devouring cities\, dead-end jobs and submission to data-driven artific
iality\, the album dissects the apathy-fuelled state of 21st-century exist
 ence as a slow-motion apocalypse.\n\nDetails en tickets: https://onlyhere.
