SUMMARY:Gallowstreet
LOCATION:Paradiso\, Weteringschans 6-8\, 1017 SG Amsterdam
GEO:52.362278;4.883945
DESCRIPTION:Gallowstreet has been a household name for over a decade\, with
the Amsterdam-based brass band widely known for their high-energy horn se
ctions and long-standing residency at Paradiso. On Sunday\, January 24th\,
they return to our Main Hall to present their latest project\, 'Future Br
ass.' This innovative\, sound-first approach completely flips the conventi
ons of brass music on its head. Instead of arranging existing songs or sim
ply adding effects to an instrument\, the creative process begins with the
sonic identity of a modern record. The goal is to capture the groove\, te
xture\, and impact of genres like hip-hop and electronics live through bra
ss. By writing like a band and thinking like a producer\, the horns no lon
ger serve as mere decoration but as an essential part of the sound design.
The result is a powerful live experience that seamlessly fuses the physic
al energy of a brass band with the precision of contemporary studio produc
tions. Support: Fata Morgana\n\nDetails en tickets: https://onlyhere.app/n
