SUMMARY:.multibeat
LOCATION:Tolhuistuin\, IJpromenade 2\, 1031 KT Amsterdam
GEO:52.383088;4.90303
DESCRIPTION:Utrecht-based trio .multibeat fuses the worlds of hip-hop and j
azz into a distinct\, beat-driven sound. Inspired by legends like Robert G
lasper and J Dilla\, members Boudewijn Pleij (keys)\, Thijs van Zutphen (b
ass)\, and Aron Smit (drums) form the core of a collective that constantly
pushes the boundaries of future jazz. Since their 2022 debut album 'Toolb
ox'\, the band has carved out an impressive path\, highlighted by the albu
m 'Channel Island' and collaborations with a diverse range of artists incl
uding Pete Philly\, Joya Mooi\, and Marcus “Tennishu” Tenney. In the w
inter of 2026\, .multibeat returns to their eclectic underground roots wit
h their third LP 'OOO'\, marking their first release on the prestigious Be
rlin-based label Sonar Kollektiv. While previous projects occasionally exp
lored more accessible avenues\, this new album reflects their fierce indep
endent spirit and raw live energy. The central theme remains their collabo
ration with like-minded talents\, keeping the 'beat' tirelessly at the hea
rt of everything they do. Support: TOS\n\nDetails en tickets: https://only
