Holt co-wrote "The Tide Is High" with The Paragons at Duke Reid's Tre asure Isle Studio in the rocksteady era before going solo and putting "Hel p Me Make It Through the Night" into the UK Top 10 in 1973. His 1\,000 Vol ts of Holt on Trojan remains one of the definitive reggae albums of the de cade. Dennis Brown started recording at eleven years old\, released over 7 5 albums and was called the Crown Prince of Reggae by Bob Marley\, who nam ed him his favourite singer. "Money in My Pocket" became one of the most l oved reggae singles ever released in the UK. Wayne Hernandez\, who has per formed alongside Gorillaz\, toured with Billy Ocean and Kool and the Gang\ , sung at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee and performed with Tina Turner \, Roberta Flack and Madonna\, takes on the John Holt songbook. Delroy Pin nock\, his long-standing partner in this show\, carries the Dennis Brown r epertoire. Together they have been performing this music with a full live band to standing ovations across the UK\, and the Billy Ocean quote at the top of this page comes from someone who was actually in the room.
