LOCATION:British Library\, 96 Euston Road\, London NW1 2DB
GEO:51.529985;-0.127014
DESCRIPTION:Since the establishment of a Yugoslav state in 1918 and through
to the 1990s\, when the second Yugoslavia collapsed in war\, Yugoslav uni

time. The study of their interactions and their relationship to domestic\
, regional\, and global transformations continues to generate lively debat
e across disciplinary boundaries and regional specialisms. This event is op
en to anyone with an interest in the former Yugoslav region. It will explo
re how migrations and mobilities from\, to\, and within the region offer a
fruitful perspective for rethinking how we study its past and understand
its present and future trajectories.Event programme:The event will begin w
ith a short introduction to the special issue ‘Whose Yugoslavia? Yugosla
v unity and disunity in migration policies and patterns’\, recently publ
ished in the leading area studies journal Europe-Asia Studies\, followed b
