DESCRIPTION:Join Rebecca and Virginia of WomenontheEdge in the Closing Conversations event\, celebrating the 'Flourish - The Vibrancy and Flow of Life Exhibition'\, moderated by Virginia Orr. An exhibition exploring form and rhythm in the everyday – through fluid lines and organic textures\, the show reflects on the cycles of nature and how we expand\, adapt and thrive. Inspired by the themes of summer in the city\, Flourish invites the viewer to find the beauty and spirit hidden within their daily lives. Mirroring the season’s intense light\, the works’ vibrancy and bold strokes are a reminder of the celebratory feel of endless days and endless possibilities. Time spent with friends\, family and lovers. Emotions are captured by colour and movement and the ordinary becomes the extraordinary. The work exhibited includes photography\, printmaking\, sketches and painting on canvas and paper produced over the last 2 years. A collection of portrait works provides a personal insight to the artists’ relationships with their sitters and themselves.
