DESCRIPTION:Please Note: This term is longer than usual and will run for 13 weeks.\n\nMake Stuff Club is a creative\, weekly after school club for children aged 9 to 13 years old who have an interest in using their hands and making things but with no prior making experience necessary!\n\nEach term across 13 workshops your child will have covered the basics of woodworking\, safe tool use and how to take an idea from paper to prototype.\n\nSummer 2026 we will be designing our very own puppet and portable table-top stage.\n\nFrom paper designs to a full puppet performance\, young people will design\, learn to measure\, mark\, cut and construct their own workable puppet with accompanying stage for hours of performances.\n\nTools: measuring tape\, handsaw\, coping saw\, hand-held drills\, pillar drill\, belt-sander\n\nAccessibility\n\nPlease note our Education Space is not currently accessible via step-free access and there are three flights of stairs to walk. If parents and children would like to visit the space and facilitators ahead of After School Club term starting\, please email lucym@blackhorseworkshop.co.uk\n\nDisclaimer\n\nIn using the workshop\, you understand that the use of all tools and machinery belonging to Blackhorse Workshop are at your own risk.\n\nPlease note that refunds and/or changes to ticket date are available up to 1 week before induction date. We cannot offer refunds due to Covid or any other absence due to illness. Once a course has started\, we cannot offer any transfers or refunds.\n\nAdditional information\n\nPlease dress appropriately for metalwork\, no trainers or shorts\, we recommend sturdy shoes/boots and jeans or similar.
