DESCRIPTION:Lewisham Choral Society and the Frisian Chamber Orchestra present Puccini Messa di Gloria and Beethoven Symphony No. 5. This is our second collaboration\, following our highly successful joint performances in the UK and the Netherlands in 2022. Beethoven’s rousing piece is characterised by its dramatic four-note opening theme which he embroiders on throughout the work. The central movements are in turn gentler and bolder in nature\, culminating in the work’s triumphant finale.
