DESCRIPTION:Lets get bent!\n\nQueer Metal Club is a space by and for queers who are curious about metal work.\n\nThis two session club is an introduction to metalworking techniques where you will learn how to weld\, bend\, fold\, hammer\, cut\, and so much more.\n\nA safe\, social\, and friendly environment where no experience is required and all skill levels are welcome.\n\nCome alone or with friends\, and you will leave knowing how to make things with metal!\n\nAccessibility\n\nPlease note at this time Studio 2 has no step-free access and has three flights of stairs up to the Workshop Room. Metalwork takes place on the ground floor.\n\nWe have a hearing loop available.\n\nDisclaimer\n\nIn using the workshop\, you understand that the use of all tools and machinery belonging to Blackhorse Workshop is at your own risk.\n\nIn making a course booking\, it is your responsibility to read the full course description and abide by the guidelines given. If the course requires a Health and Safety Induction and you have not taken the relevant course\, we reserve the right to remove you from the course.\n\nAppropriate and adequate clothing must be worn in the workshop. Sturdy shoes / boots must be worn\, no trainers. No shorts and no synthetic fabrics to be worn in metalwork\, cotton\, wool and leather only.\n\nStudents must follow Blackhorse Workshop Health and Safety guidance at all times. If you fail to follow these instructions you may be asked to leave the course.\n\nPeople with long term respiratory conditions should be aware that the workshop is a dusty environment that may impact their health.\n\nIf you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant we recommend consulting a health professional before taking part in welding or blacksmithing.\n\nPlease note that refunds and course transfers are available up to 1 week before start date. We cannot offer refunds or course transfers after this date.\n\nWe cannot offer refunds due to illness. Once a course has started\, we cannot offer any transfers or refunds.\n\nAdditional information\n\nPlease dress appropriately for metalwork\, no trainers or shorts\, we recommend sturdy shoes/boots and jeans or similar.
