About
The Blow Monkeys are touring in support of their 13th studio album Birdsong, released through Creation Youth (the label founded by Alan McGee). The band features original line-up bar the drummer, including Dr Robert (lead vocals), Neville Henry (saxophone), Mick Anker (bass), and Crispin Taylor (drums), alongside guest musicians. The album was recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn Studios and produced by Dr Robert. McGee praised the project, stating it represents as good as anything Dr Robert did back in the day. The legendary British soul-funk group achieved worldwide success with classic hits and their cover appearance on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.
