Cousins Snooker is a family-run pool and snooker club just off Holloway Road in North London, open until the small hours every night. It suits anyone who wants a proper game without faffing about, from coin-op pool on a budget to a full-size match room used on the world snooker tour. The most useful thing to know: you pay by the hour, roughly £10 for English pool or snooker and £12 for American pool, with cheap £1.50-a-game coin-op tables if you just want a quick frame.

There is a licensed bar with beers, wines, spirits, coffees and hot sandwiches, plus free WiFi and a darts area. It is open noon to the early hours most days, so it works for a late session when most other places have shut.

The table setup

Snooker players get six full-size Riley tables, and a separate fully enclosed match room with a Star professional table of the kind used on the world tour. A darts area is also available to hire.
