Walthamstow Wetlands
Walthamstow Wetlands runs drop-in nature sessions during school holidays. You're pond dipping with nets, lifting logs to see what lives underneath, hunting for the woodlice, toads, spiders and minibeasts you actually find there. It's hands-on, specific to the place, not a general wander.
Each session needs a responsible adult with the kids. Sessions run 1-3pm from the Outdoor Classroom Area by the Engine House, walk-up only, completely free (they take donations). The Learning team leads, so you're not just letting kids loose.
