Family Workshop: Sensory Story Worlds
British Library
The British Library's Fairy Tales exhibition becomes a live storytelling workshop where you improvise a new tale with Paul Rubinstein, a musician and storyteller. Live music and sensory props, textures you handle, scents, sounds, build the story as you move through the exhibition. It's tactile and interactive rather than passive.
You start in the Learning Centre before entering the exhibition space. There's a dedicated sensory room if you need quieter surroundings, and they provide described visuals beforehand so you know what to expect. Everyone creates a piece of art to take home rather than just colouring sheets.
