Design Museum's latest free show brings four research teams from across the country. Each one's tackling a real problem: rethinking housing, patching the NHS, redesigning local planning, managing resources. These aren't art objects, these are practical tools being built now.
What makes it worth the trip is seeing how design gets wedged into systems that desperately need it. The research is UK-based, so you'll recognize the terrain. Walking through, you get a sense of what's possible when you stop asking designers to make pretty things and start asking them to solve problems.
