Two brothers rebuild their relationship, and the process is less healing than violent argument. Hit Machine is claustrophobic theatre. The kind of play that only works because the room is small, the seats close, and you have nowhere to look but the pain happening a few feet away.
Ben Harper composed the original songs, so the music doesn't soften anything. It deepens it. Brotherhood, creative theft, the cost of turning hurt into art, the play excavates all of it without apology. Soho Theatre is the perfect fit: intimate enough that you feel complicit, sharp enough that a single scene can devastate the room.
This is for people who came to London for the theatre that demands something of you. Not a comfortable night. A necessary one.
