How to use our Morso Guillotine, Underpinner, Dremell drill, Glass Cutters, Staining and Waxing for raw wood
About the Course
Whether you are someone with a pile of posters still to be hung or an artist preparing for exhibitions, this is an opportunity to make your own A4 bespoke picture frame, mount your artwork, and assemble all components ready to take home and hang proudly.
Over three consecutive evenings you will learn how to operate traditional picture framing machinery and tools; as well as practice key skills transferable to multiple woodworking processes.
In this course you will learn how to: cut and join hardwood moulding using guillotines and underpinners alongside hand pinning with a dremel and hammer; sand and finish a raw wood frame using stains or waxes to complement your artwork, cut, clean and handle glass; and safely mount paper based artwork such as prints, photographs or paintings.
This course will be run by professional picture framer Joe Fergey.
If you have an A4 piece of artwork that you would like to frame please bring it with you, to help you make your framing choices.
