Introduction to Hand Tools: Tool Box

Blackhorse Workshop

Time12am
DateSun 14 Jun

If you’re new to woodwork or haven’t done any for a long time, we’d recommend beginning with this course which will get you using key hand tools vital to any woodworker. You will learn how and when to use the different tools and practice using them to make your very own toolbox for storing your tools at home!

In a relaxed environment, you’ll learn the correct techniques for marking out using the steel ruler and the sliding bevel, and the difference between the coping saw and tenon saw, the jack plane and block plane. The course also covers how to pilot and countersink screws, using the drill press and which abrasives are needed to achieve the best finish.

If you enjoyed this course, we suggest the Introduction to Power Tools as a good next step.
