Kobo Town takes calypso and reggae, mixing them with trombone-led brass sections. They're named after Port of Spain in Trinidad, where calypso started, and that heritage shapes everything they do. Since 2005, they've been touring with their own interpretation of calypso and ska.
The rhythms are built to move you, and the arrangements have real muscle. It's music with genuine lineage behind it, not a cover version or revival. If you're drawn to reggae, calypso, or brass-led sounds rooted in Caribbean tradition, this is a solid night.
