Join Ryan Schulte, Peter Scalpello, and Friends for a night of poetry and prose to celebrate their new books out this year from Queer Indie Presses. In both Mirrorstage (Cipher) and I Dreamed I Saw Augustine (Rebel Satori), the narrators travel across Britain and New York State, phases of mental illness, political strife, sour grief, weird parties, and idealised relief/release. Where and how do queer coming-of-age stories like these guide writers and readers - psychologically, musically, and mythically? Join the conversation and hear stimulating new work from queer indie presses based in the US and UK! Peter Scalpello is a poet and psychotherapist from Glasgow, based in London. They are the author of Limbic and Mirrorstage - the latter which was longlisted for the 2026 Forward Prize for Poetry. Ryan Schulte is a community gardener with NYC Parks. His poetry and fiction have appeared in Oyez Review, The North, and elsewhere. He lives in Washington Heights. I Dreamed I Saw Augustine is his first novel.
