Explore the vibrant, layered painting style of Michael Armitage in this one-day workshop. You’ll experiment with expressive mark-making, rich colour, and atmospheric layering to create paintings that combine observation, memory, and imagination. Inspired by Armitage’s storytelling approach, you’ll explore symbolism, narrative, and personal imagery in your work. Bring any photos or sketches you’d like to use. Learners developing personal projects are also welcome. All materials provided; please wear suitable clothing for painting. Cost: £45.75 (full fee), £27.25 (reduced fee)
