Thursday night quiz at The Great Southern, eight o'clock. Teams of up to six, £2 a head to play. The prize is fifty quid if you win, and the jackpots sometimes roll over if no one's claimed them the week before.
It works if you're serious about quizzes or just want the structure of a night where your mates are useful for something. Eight o'clock start is civilised. Early finish if you want one, or stay for proper drinking after. Katharine sets the questions and knows how to run one of these things.
