The Red Lion's doing live acoustic every Friday from 10pm. Local musicians, sparse arrangements, the kind of night where the strings actually matter. Leytonstone's not an obvious nightlife spot, so the room's full of people who showed up because they wanted to, not because it's where you're supposed to be.
It stays intimate. You can listen properly or just let it be background noise with a drink and friends. Mix of people genuinely interested in hearing something, a few dancers, mostly folks who've had a week and aren't here for the volume. Runs til close.
