The Helsinki Peace Conference was meant to prove that diplomacy could work, even in the depths of the Cold War. This Canadian-Finnish production examines what happened when that ideal collided with messy reality: wars still break out, nuclear threats haven't gone anywhere, and the original message gets buried under politics.
It's theatre about broken promises, and it doesn't pretend the world got better. The troupe has performed this before and knows how to build real tension in a small room. One hour. You come out thinking about what separates leaders' promises from what actually changes.
