Kids who know Donaldson and Scheffler's Zog will recognize the story here. It's a tight production with Little Angel's puppets handling the stagecraft and songs that stick. Not the thin, rushed kids' theatre you sometimes get.
Zog is a disaster of a dragon, crashing through lessons at Madam Dragon's school. A girl keeps patching his scrapes, and he starts chasing the idea of getting a golden star. It's simple but done right: gentle chaos and actual heart.
It works for adults too, which is the real test. This production team's done Stick Man and the other Zog show - they know how to hold a mixed-age room.
