Ballroom at Palais: Pub in Peckham, London

Ballroom at Palais is a food venue in SE15, and the evenings lean towards the dance floor. Expect DJ sets, some of them back-to-back, two people trading the decks through the night. It suits people who came for the music and don't mind a long night. The crowd tends to know what they like and listen closely, so the room rewards staying put rather than drifting off. Think of it as a place to settle in. Arrive for the first set if you like the build. Stay for the last if the room is still moving. Either way, the best nights here are the ones where the music does the talking.
