Books on the Rise is a literary and cultural space in Richmond where readers and thinkers gather around books that actually matter to them. You'll find ongoing book clubs focused on sci-fi and fantasy, philosophy, cultural histories like music and Black influence. Poetry open mics happen here too. You can listen or bring work to read. The programming takes a genuine approach to reading and conversation. These aren't casual hangouts. People come to engage with ideas and test their thinking. Whether you want to join a club, develop your voice on stage, or just find your next read, this is where that happens in Richmond.
