The Charles Dickens Museum is an art venue with a literary core, so the programming usually starts with a story and moves toward something you can make or take part in. Expect storytelling for all ages, spooky tales when the evenings get darker, and craft sessions built around the winter festive season. The crowd tends to be families, book lovers, and anyone who likes an event where the room does some of the work. It sits in WC1N. Pick the kind of session that suits your mood, then give yourself time to look around before or after. Go in with curiosity. Bring a child, a friend, or a notebook.
