Charlton House Charlton Road London

Greenwich

Charlton House is the kind of place you find by knowing where to look. It sits on Charlton Road in SE7, and it rewards people who go looking for it. The programming leans towards outdoor and community events. Fairs and gatherings in the grounds and gardens are the clearest sign of its character, and they draw a local crowd rather than a scene. People come to wander, eat something, catch up with neighbours and see what is on. Go in that spirit. Bring a bit of time, dress for the weather, and expect a mix of ages and faces from the area. It suits people who want an event with room to breathe, not a packed room and a queue at the bar.
