Chiswick Art School is a place to make things with your hands. Its programme leans towards clay and the wheel, and it rewards people who keep showing up. Some courses run as regular weekly evenings. Others are compressed into a few concentrated days, which suits anyone who wants a lot of practice in a short time. If you have never thrown a pot, a weekly class gives you time to get the feel of it. If you already know your way around clay, an intensive lets you go deeper. The crowd tends to be people who want a real skill, not just an evening out. Bring patience and a willingness to get it wrong, and you will take home something you made.
