Crate Brewery: Pub in Tower Hamlets, London

Crate Brewery in E9 is a taproom first. The beer is the reason to come, but the programming is what keeps people coming back. Expect takeovers. A guest crew or outside label takes over the taps for a night, and the list shifts toward their style. It is a good way to taste a wider range of brewing without leaving the room. The crowd tends to be a mix: regulars who know the rhythm, and people who came for one particular takeover and kept going. Seasonal and themed nights bring out the playful side of the place. Food is part of the picture, so come hungry.
