Cristea Roberts Gallery

Westminster

Cristea Roberts Gallery is the kind of place you go to look properly. The programme leans towards sculpture and figurative work, the sort that asks for a slow walk round rather than a quick photo. Shows here tend to centre on an artist's body of work, which gives you room to see how an idea develops from one room to the next. Expect a crowd that came for the art. People tend to stand in front of the larger pieces longer than they planned, and that is the point. It suits anyone who would rather see one idea pushed hard than skim a crowded group show. The gallery is in SW1Y. Scan the listings below for what is on, then go in with no fixed agenda and let the work set the pace.
