DEBUT is an art venue in SE16, and it suits people who like to turn up without knowing exactly what they'll find. Much of its programming leans toward secret concerts, where the line-up stays under wraps until the night. If you like music without the usual build-up, this is the kind of place that rewards trusting the room. The crowd tends to be curious. People come for the art and often stay for the sound, drawn by the idea behind an event more than the format. If you came looking for a debutante ball, this isn't that. The programme here centres on art and surprise performance, not formal dances or society events. The listings below show what's coming up.
