E1 is a food venue that also runs nights built around music. Most of the programming leans electronic, with DJ sets, live acts and rave-style events. Comedy and talk-led shows sit alongside, so the crowd is mixed rather than one tribe. It suits people who want to eat, then stay. The room gets its energy from the music, and the nights that go deepest tend to have a clear identity. Look at the lineup before you pick a night. A name you half know is often the best call. The postcode is E1W, so it is easy to plan around one evening. Book ahead for the nights that look busy. Trust the sound you like more than the hype around a single act.
