East Putney Tavern: Pub in London

East Putney Tavern is a tavern in SW15, and its programming reflects that. The nights are built around the things a good local tavern does well. Live music is the main draw. Go for the songs and the musicians, not the scenery. Quiz nights bring a different crowd: teams form at the bar, and the answers get argued over with real intent. Expect locals who treat it as a regular haunt, along with the occasional group that has heard the music is worth a look and wants to judge for themselves. If you want the most out of it, pick a night around one thing you care about. Check what's on before you go, and stay for one more round.
