Endeavour: Pub in Deptford, London

Endeavour is a food venue in SE8, and the food is only part of the reason to go. Its programming leans towards live music and DJ nights, the kind of bookings that suit a room where people came to eat and stayed for the sound. Think of it as a place for a long meal that turns into a later night. The line-up tends to favour acts with a distinct sound over safe covers, so the evening is shaped by the music as much as the menu. It suits people who like a bit of edge with their dinner. If you want a quiet table and nothing else, look elsewhere. Go in with an open mind about the night, and let the bill guide the rest.
