Next Door Records Two is an art venue in N16, and its programming leans towards live music played close to the room. Expect acoustic sets and jazz without amplification, the kind of night where the crowd goes quiet because the sound asks it to. Sunday sessions suit this place well. An unplugged set asks you to sit nearer, listen harder and talk less. You notice the small things: the timing between players, a voice that doesn't need a microphone, the pause before the last chord. If you like your music up close and unhurried, this is the kind of venue that rewards a regular visit. Go for the music first. The rest of the night tends to take care of itself.
