The Crown is a Battersea venue built around people showing up for the same thing. Live music and quiz nights are its staples, so the room tends to draw locals who want a proper night out without much planning. Quiz teams form on the spot, usually with one friend who knows everything and one stranger who knows the rest. Bands play to a crowd that stays put. It is also tagged as an art venue, which gives the programme a looser edge. Expect a mix of sound, conversation and something a bit less predictable. The best nights here tend to feel like the neighbourhood has decided to gather in one room.
