The Leyton Engineer: Pub in Waltham Forest, London

The Leyton Engineer is a food spot in E10 that runs its evenings on regular rhythms. There's a pub quiz, Saturday DJs, and a baby pub quiz for parents who still want a night out with the buggy in tow. That mix says a lot about who comes. Quiz nights suit teams who enjoy a bit of rivalry. Saturday DJs suit people who want the evening to stretch. The baby quiz has its own easy-going crowd, with plenty of shared tiredness and good humour. When you're picking something, start with the kind of night you want. Go for the quiz if you like competition over a meal. Pick a DJ night if you want music and a longer evening. Either way, the room and the crowd set the tone.
