The Library at Deptford Lounge is a books space in SE13 where literary readings, author talks, and discussions happen regularly. You'll find independent book launches, writer talks, and programming centred around zine publishing and reading communities. The people who show up are there for the writing itself, not the scene. It's intimate and focused, not trying to be slick or cool. Programming mixes larger established literary events with smaller community launches and zine initiatives. If you want to hear directly from writers and publishers talking about their work and ideas, this is where that happens. It's the kind of place people keep coming back to.
