The One Tun: Pub in Fitzrovia, London

The One Tun is a hidden kind of place, the sort you find because someone who knows it told you. That is part of the appeal. The room keeps a low profile and lets the people in it do the talking. Quiz nights are the clearest sign of what it is for. Teams form at the bar, the questions run through the evening, and the best thing you can bring is a bit of nerve. Pick a team name, claim a table early, and accept that someone else will always know the capital of somewhere obscure. That is most of the fun. It sits in W1T. Expect a plain, sociable pub mood rather than a polished bar. Come for the company, stay for the arguments about the answers.
