The Stonemasons Arms: Pub in Hammersmith and Fulham, London

The Stonemasons Arms is the other kind of venue, the one you hear about from someone who already goes. It sits in W6, and it has the easy feel of a pub people come back to. Quiz nights are the staple here. They suit a table of friends who like to argue over a question for too long, and they draw a crowd that knows the form. Some come for the answers. Most come for the rivalry. Go with a small group and a rough sense of what you know. Leave the rest to the quizmaster and the people at the next table.
