Water Rats is an art venue in WC1X, and its programme leans towards live performance. The names it books point to singers and performers with a clear voice, so this is a place to go for an act you want to hear properly. Think of it as a room where the performer comes first. If you pick a night by who is on rather than by the venue's reputation, this is the kind of place that rewards it. Over time, the people who come back tend to be those who follow particular artists and want to catch the next one.
