About
Jesus C. Escovedo stowed away on a cruise liner to reach Britain, with only a guitar and a Hawaiian shirt. His debut single came out the same day as The Beatles' She Loves You, which pushed the British instrumental scene out of the picture. If you like a strange backstory with your surf guitar, this suits you, and at £11 on Wednesday 9 December it is an easy bet.
