About
Dance is rarely the centre of a British exhibition. This one makes it the story, tracing African Diasporic jazz from the Cakewalk to UK Jazz. It suits anyone curious about how Black performers reshaped British stages and ballrooms, and the 1920s and 30s clubs where the Charleston and Lindy Hop stirred controversy.
